Julia Baier is a photographer based in Berlin, Germany, whose work centers on the element of water and those that derive pleasure from it. Her work takes her to places where people get wet: lakes and beaches, swimming and paddling pools, saunas, hot springs.
For her 2005 Sentō project, Julia travelled to Japan and photographed various bathhouses around the country to capture local communal bathing traditions.
More information about Julia and her work can be found on her website and on social media @julia_baier_fotografie.
